New Knighthood chapter 9

Horon wasted no time at all as he ran to his horse and picked up his sword. “What have you found?” asked Horon to Quin.
“We found foot tracks and lots of them” said Quin.
“Well then let’s go!” Horon said as he mounted his horse. So, everyone got on their horse and rode to freedom! Wait, no I mean they followed the foot tracks. Late in the afternoon they found where the foot tracks ended but where they ended was just a rock overlooking a small valley. “Father!” Horon shouted as he reached the top of the rock “where are you?” Just then he heard a cracking and then…BOOM! The next thing Horon knew he was falling down a twenty foot hole and then nothing. Horon opened his eyes but it was just as dark as when they were closed. He tried to stand but when he tried he fell down    “great,” he thought, “now my leg’s broken.” “Horon!” cried Quin as he descended down the hole using a rope. When he got to the bottom he picked up Horon and pulled him back up. After about an hour of getting to the doctor and getting a crutch they went back to the hole, went down in it and searched the place. “This must be the place where the raiders hid while gathering up more forces,” said Quin.
“Ye-” Horon started to say but just then a few guards walked around the corner.
“Get down!” Quin shouted
“Did you hear something?” one of the guards said.
“No, but I do think that all that wine has gone to your head” another replied. Then, they walked around the corner and were out of sight.
“That was a close one,” said Quin.
“Yeah, we should find my father and get out of here” said Horon.
“Agreed.” So, after about an hour of searching they finally they found the jail cells. “Father!” Horon shouted in the loudest whisper he could make. “Who are you?” said a voice behind him “You don’t look like a guard.” Said the voice. Horon spun around “father, is that you?”  Horon said as he opened the cell.
“Horon!” said Alkon “it’s you!”
“Father!” Horon said in a voice that was much too loud.
“Hey, it sounds like someone is in the cells come on!” they heard someone upstairs say.
“RUN!” said Quin and that’s what they did… well Horon limped as fast as he could but I wouldn’t call it a run. A few minutes later they were out of the base and running towards the castle with about two hundred raiders behind them. Horon took Quin’s horn and blew it as loud as he could. Baaaaaaaaagggggggguuuuuuuueeeeehhhhhhhmmmm was pretty much what it sounded like. About ten minutes later a giant army arrived with the prince in the lead on a horse. Then all at once the battle began and everything was so blurry that Horon just swung and then he hit someone. First, he heard a scream and then he saw his sword in a raider’s leg. Horon pulled it out just in time to block an attack with his sword by the raider, bang! The swords hit together, whoosh!! The sword just missed Horon. Horon hit the raider as hard as he could with his crutch in the head the stabbed him in the chest. The raider fell to the ground dead and Horon was about to celebrate but he heard a crunch! As an axe broke his crutch and sliced his leg, “Ahhhh!” Horon screamed in pain. Horon fell to the ground was this it? He thought as the raider raised his axe. Horon closed his eyes “Ahhhh!”  He heard but it didn’t come from his mouth. Slowly, Horon opened his eyes and then he saw what had happened. The raider had two arrows in his chest. Horon turned and saw Quin holding a bow and smiling. Then all at once it was over, they had won!
Three days after the battle Horon was called to the castle but no one said why. When he got there he saw at least one hundred people, Quin, the prince and his father standing at the far end of the hall. “Come here, son” said Alkon. Horon walked up to end of the hall where blue banners hung above him. “Kneel,” the prince said. Horon Kneeled and then Alkon took a sword, dubbed him and said: “I dub you Sir Horon, the Fearless!”

New Knighthood chapter 8

…And I would also like a large pepperoni; hey I have to eat too.
Anyway… (…means now back to the story). “Horon I don’t think we will find him anytime soon I mean we have been out here for a month and haven’t found a single clue” said Quin.
“I know, but I really hoped that we would find him.”
“I think we have searched every inch of Humar (which was the area that they saw the raiders run of too).
“Then let us go back to the castle, but can we do a search every two weeks?”
“I swear it will be done.” So, with that the group went back to the castle were Horon was trained in sword fighting and archery. Every two weeks they would go out again looking for Alkon. Two years later, the king passed away at a very old age and after three days of mourning the prince asked Horon to come and talk with him. While they were walking in the throne room Horon asked, “I have always wondered why there are all those cuts and holes in the walls could you tell me?”
“Twelve years ago the raiders attacked when we were weak because we had just sent out our best men to destroy a dragon that was burning down villages. We fought but they pushed us back all the way to here, we were losing but just then- out of nowhere- a man ran in and challenged the captain of their army. It was a long dual, but in the end the man won and that man,Horon, was your father.” Horon was speechless and finally when he was about to say something he heard a man say, “Horon, we think we have found your father!”

The adventures of Tallman and Smallguy

The Adventures of Tallman and Smallguy

Before you read this story, I should inform you that if you are wondering why there are earthquakes or tornadoes or why Pluto is not a planet anymore then you have come to the right place, almost because if you were looking for something that tells you why there are earthquakes or tornadoes or why when you traveled you still could not find the end of the rainbow then I think that you meant to search for Google anyway, so, let’s start the story (wow, that was a long sentence). A long, long six months ago there was a tall kid named well, Tallman (parents were not very creative) and his next door neighbor, Smallguy (it’s a sad, sad world out there people). So, one summer day Tallman was playing basketball and he had just thrown the ball at the net when it hit the backboard and bounced into the neighbor’s yard! Tallman ran as fast as he could and jumped Smallguy’s fence, picked up the ball and ran out but wait he couldn’t run out because there was a one hundred foot tall concrete wall! “ WHAT?!” He thought. “Wait, I think I have seen this on a TV show before, oh yes I remember it’s bigger on the inside.” “OK first where did you get this wall” said Tallman when he saw Smallguy walk out of his back door.
“I um…found it” said Smallguy.
“You just found a wall that’s bigger on the inside.”
“Uh-huh got it at a garage sale.”
“Right well if I could just get my basketball back I will be on my way.”
“Never! Well only if you go on an adventure with me.”
“Sure but where will we be going?”
“To, Australia!”
“But how will we get there?”
“Using, this!” And with that Smallguy ran into his house and pulled out a big blue box that said phone box on it. “Is that the TARDIS?” Tallman asked
“Yup” Smallguy said as if everyone owns a TARDIS.
“Um…ok, let’s go.”
“So, are you sure that you want to go on this adventure with me I mean it will be very dangerous.”
“Yes, I am sure because nothing is more important than basketball!”
“Right, I guess so.”
“Come on let’s go!” and with that they ran into the TARDIS and teleported to Australia!
The first thing Tallman saw was blackness “Hey Smallguy can you turn on the lights please?”
“Oh sorry,” then he turned on the lights. So, the first thing he really saw was a giant room with no windows or doors, the only thing in there other than them was a guy in a black cloak walking slowly towards them “Why do the bad guys always were cloaks?” Smallguy was about to answer but before he could the man in the cloak said “there are terribly comfortable think everyone will be wearing them in the future.”
“Hmmm I think I have heard this before” Tallman thought
But before he could think anymore the cloaked guy pulled out a NERF gun and started shooting at us. I ran for cover just as a bullet whizzed past me. I jumped behind the TARDIS for cover then looked out to see Smallguy pull out a foam axe and charge at cloakman (yup) but before he could reach him cloakman shot at him and Smallguy fell to the floor foamed out. Tallman ran out from behind the TARDIS and was about to grab the axe when something caught his eye, the basketball! He picked it up and started to run when he remembered Smallguy lying on the floor. He turned around and yelled “The most important thing is not basketball!!!” as he threw the ball at cloakman’s face, thud! He fell to the floor “good job” said Smallguy as he got up “the most important thing is not basketball.”

New Knighthood Chapter 7

I am sorry for the delay of the past two chapters of this story but I have been away (asleep) for a um…running for homeless people(movie marathon)  yes, that’s it and yes that is why there was a delay in my storieness  (yes that is a word).  Horon raced through the castle not even noticing the marble floor or the scratched walls, he went right up to the king and said: “Your highness do you not know what is happening out there right now?”
“Yes I do and I have sent my best men to fight them” the king said in an old voice.
“But will your men be enough to defeat an army of invaders?”
“Yes, young lad they are some of the best fighters in Mteren” (Mteren was the country that they lived in). Then slowly horon realized It, that he no longer heard screams from outside as he did when he first came into the throne room. “Well I guess that worked but now that they are gone, I need someone to help me find my father. When he got taken captive he shouted for me to go see the king so, can you please help me?”
“Well its nice to meat you too" the king said,i guess we can send out a search party- what is your dad’s name?”
“Alkon, sir” Horon said.
“Alkon! Well then never mind we must leave at once, Quin go get my son and tell him to prepare a search party at once!” said the king.
“Yes sir” said Quin.
“Wait, how do you know my dad?” asked Horon.“Don’t worry lad when we find your dad I will tell you the whole story” the king said. So the group (grandma, grandpa, Horon, the prince and Quin) set of to find Alkon!

New Knighthood chapter 6

Nom nom…if you are wondering what nom nom means then your wish is granted because now right now, yes now I will tell you! It means that I am eating. Yes I know kind of disappointing but you don’t want to hear about me you want to hear about Horon and what he saw.  There are some things in life that are just too horrible to describe for instance when Horon saw his house burnt down and dad get captured. There is also this moment in his life were that same thing happened. The first thing he saw was smoke and where there is smoke there is a fire. Next he heard screaming and then he saw it, a whole army of jmarin raiders! Horon had heard stories of them but always thought that they were just a legend but these were the men that killed and burned villages down for fun. Now Horon had to get to the king to tell him of his father and the raiders. “Everyone inside!” said Quin but they didn't need any encouragement. Everyone ran inside as fast as they could and with a loud Bang! They closed the doors. Horon turned around to see the biggest room he had ever seen with a roof so tall that he could not even see the top. There was only one thing wrong with the room there was hundreds maybe even thousands of cuts and holes in the wall as if a war had been fought just in this room! Horon looked to the back of the castle and saw a giant golden throne with a very old man and then he realized who it was “the king!” Horon shouted.

happy poem

  • A Happy Poem

happy is the opposite of sad or mad
  • it is the word we use when we are glad
we jump and shout for fun and joy, that is what
happy means
it means joy and no sadness complete gladness
another word for happy is Jesus or God
Christ the Saviour was the happiest of all
he would talk to children and old men
and with a big wide grin he would say our Father in heaven
 is the happiest of all

oh man

I walked on the cold, black floor and sat down on the old chair hopping it wouldn't fall then i looked out the cracked window onto the dark garden looking at the looming shadow of the nearby tree but it didn't look like a tree it looked more like bony fingers reaching up from the ground. then i heard it the word of death..."EXTERMINATE!"

New Knighthood chapter 5

And that concludes our environmental show today, now let’s get back to the story. Horon raced to the castle with grandma and grandpa right behind (if you do not know who these people are and are wondering then well, let’s just say that they are not really his grandparents) and by right behind I mean very far behind shouting for  Horon to slow down. He could hear them but he only wanted to get to the castle and see the king, just as his father had told him. At last Horon reached the giant door to the king’s chambers. He walked slowly to the door and was about to open it when…
“Oi! Who are you then?” Horon jumped and almost screamed. He was thinking so hard about what his father had said about the king that he had not noticed the guard.
“Oh, sorry I didn’t notice you,” said Horon, the guard looked like he was about to slap Horon but just then another guard came out and said,
“Zedric, your shift is over.”
“Ok Quinlan, take care of this boy.” Zedric said sharply and then he walked in the door.Hello youngling, how are you today?” asked Quin. At this moment, I would like to tell you a story of a writer that will not be named- so anyway once upon a time there lived a writer just like me and the writer was so tired of writing the name Quinlan that he would never write the name Quinlan again in his book that is not about a guy named Quinlan so now he would just call him Quin.
“Fine, I guess but I need to see the king right away!” said Horon. By then grandma and grandpa had caught up to Horon and looked like they had something to tell him but they were too exhausted. But they didn’t need to, because he saw it.

New Knighthood chapter 4

The sun was just beginning to set as Horon reached the castle. Finally! Horon thought, but just as he reached the front gate he saw that it was being closed for the night. “No wait!” he shouted “open up!” But no one could hear him. And as the gate closed, he laid down on the grass on the outside of the castle. In the morning, Horon awoke on a nice bed in a house. He got up and started to put on his clothes but then he remembered what had happened the day before and started to cry. But then, he heard a knock on his door and first, he wondered who it was then second, he wondered where he was then third, he wondered how he got there. He went to open the door and saw an old lady and her even older husband. “Well look who finally woke up,” said the lady “you slept through breakfast.”
“And lunch,” said the old man.
“Where am I?” said Horon.
“You’re in the famous Uptown Inn” said the old lady “I am grandma and this is grandpa,” she said.
“But um, you’re not my grandparents,” said Horon “Well, yes we know that but we like people to feel as if they were at home,” the lady said with a smile.
“Ok, but I need to get to the castle as quick as possible so please, can you help me?” said Horon.
“Sure we can the king is old friend of mine,” she said.
“Very, very old friend,” said grandpa.
OK if it’s that important to you than we will leave right away!” said grandma “but let’s eat some lunch first.”

New Knighthood Chapter 3

There was a long pause as the dragon stared at the—wait, wrong story. Sorry, now where are we…oh yes! Horon stood unable to move. He didn’t know who the man was behind him but if his father was scared, he was too. Horon started to run but a giant hand clasped his shoulder and a gruff voice spoke, “Where are you going little boy? We are not done with you and your father.” Alkon started to talk, “How did you find us so”-- but couldn’t finish what he was going to say because a giant boot kicked him in the chest. “Dad!” Shouted Horon, he tried to run to his father but the hand wouldn’t let him go. “Don’t worry kid,” said the man behind him, “we won’t kill him… at least, not yet” the men laughed, picked up his dad and galloped off on their horses. “Dad!” Horon called again but it was no use, his dad was unconscious. Horon started to turn and weep but then he heard the sound of swords clashing. He looked where the men had run off and saw that they were being attacked by knights from the castle!  Yes! Horon thought, the knights can help save my dad! Horon found his knife that he got for his seventh birthday just a few weeks ago and charged at his father’s attackers, but before he could reach them, they had beaten the knights and galloped off.  Right as they were leaving, his father woke up and shouted, “GO TO THE CASTLE AND SEE THE KING!” and then the men were gone. Horon turned around and wept for what seemed like hours then finally he got up and started to run toward the castle.

New Knight Hood Chapter 2

For those who read the first part of this story, I am just going to say that I am sorry I did not keep writing but I had to go eat my hot dog before my son came up and dragged me out of my room. So, I guess we should get back to the story: Horon and his father raced out of the castle and into the fields “I bet I can get there first,” said Horon. “Oh yeah,” Alkon said, “well watch this!” Alkon speed up and started getting farther and farther ahead. “Dad wait up,” said Horon. But his dad kept running and when he was about to reach the house, he stopped dead in his tracks. “Thanks da—was all he could say when he saw what his father was looking at. It was his house, still in the same place as always but this time it was only half there. the rest was had be burned down. Horon pinched himself hoping that this was just a bad dream but, of course, it wasn't.  His dad immediately started searching through the rubble and calling his wife’s name but, all Horon could do was stare at the horrible scene before him. He saw his dad look down at something in the rubble and start to cry but Horon didn't need to look to know what it was- because he knew it was his mother. Horon started walking towards his half burnt down house but he stopped, too scared to move, when he heard a voice “Well what do we have here? It looks like we didn't get them all when we burnt down the house.” Alkon got up and tuned around trying to look bold but when he saw the man he couldn't even breathe.

New KnightHood

Long ago in a faraway land their lived a— “Dad your hot dog is ready!”
“Okay son I will be down in a minute I am trying to write a story.” As I was saying, long ago in a faraway land there was A great kingdom where a noble king ruled over the—“Dad your hot dog is getting cold!”
“Okay I will come down in a moment.” Now back to the story, let’s see... where was I um…long ago, no um…oh yes! A great kingdom where a noble king ruled over the land but that is not exactly what the story is about because the story is about a young man named Horon Zaadin and it turns out that after three years of researching I figured out his story and that I am his great great great… well um you get the picture. So, this is how this story starts and it starts as most good stories should start, with a sword fight.
Zing! The sword's tip just missed Alkon’s head but he blocked it just in time, he side stepped and thrust his sword at his opponent, he dodged it and sliced at Alkon’s shoulder. Alkon parried the attack and rolled to the side and sliced his opponent’s left leg. Alkon stood up and said, “Nice practice Hez maybe next time you will win!”
”Thank you Alkon, I will go home and practice right now.” Alkon waved goodbye to his student Hez and then turned to look at his son Horon who was still staring at the place where they had been fighting. “Horon come on its time to go” he waited a few seconds until Horon’s head turned.
“That was awesome!” said Horon. “Yes, it was fun but let’s go back home. I see smoke so mom must have started dinner."

ACT 1(academy of christian theater) is performing a show of Once Upon A Time which is four plays smashed together and they are: A Midsummer Nights Dream, Sleeping Beauty,The princess Bride And The Hobbit. By now I bet half of the people reading this have guessed why my blog is called a "Hobbit's blog" and if you haven't guessed by now here it is: I am Bilbo Baggins in Act 1's The Hobbit!
